Dining Etiquette w/ Tiffany Michaels

Dining Etiquette with Tiffany Michaels

While I was waiting for my sister to bring me the spare key to my car (because I locked my keys in my car), Tiffany decided it was time to share some of her knowledge on proper dining etiquette.
Enjoy.

How'd You Get Your Dough to Rise?

I make it rain.

Confession: I really enjoy working for my money. As I was driving home from work this morning (2:30am), I couldn't help but be proud of earning the money I made tonight. There is something about making HARD EARNED money, that makes the worth 10x more. If someone offered to give me a million dollars tomorrow with no strings attached... I'd probably take it.

BUT, I know I would spend it leisurely and probably run out before I even recognized my haphazard spending pattern. If someone told me I could work my way to a million dollars, I'm pretty positive I'd carefully spend my money and monitor my spending habits.
I know I'm not the only one that feels this way. It just feels good to let it out.
Further more,
I would like everyone to make stacks,
have them on deck,
and make it rain as many times as you wish.

Inspiration

Show After Show Baby!!

This past Tuesday was VERY eventful for me.

1. I met the Oz (@obanga) at the studio to take him out to my stores I've been promoting to. I got to give him the tour of Memorial Drive over in Stone Mountain. We went to Music World where Oz didn't even realized he witnessed 5 drug deals go down. Then we went to Notorious Tattoos, where I tried to convince him to get a matching tattoo with me (which was a FAIL). Afterwards I showed him a trap house that actually has a beautifully furnished studio inside. Amongst all of this excitement I manged to loss my cell phone (this isn't the first time I've lost my phone in his presence). After retracing our steps and visiting the Notorious Tattoo to see if I left it there, I finally found it in the side compartment of my car. On the way back, Oz found my PIMP Chain in the center console of my car and proclaimed me the Gangsta Social Butterfly of the East Side. Amen.

2. Next up was Dinner at ENO and The Fox for Legally Blonde. At ENO I had the most delicious Smoked Chicken Breast with the freshest squash and zucchini mixture beneath it. The food was outstanding, but the service could use some work. At The Fox, the male gender was definitely considered a minority. The audience was full of females. The show in itself was bright, pink, and chipper. It was cute all and all. But as soon as it was over I DASHED out the door to hit up the next event of the evening.

3. NEXT is my favorite part... HARRY POTTER!!!!!!! I am OBSESSED with Harry Potter. Have all the books, seen all the movies. Harry Potter owns me. I got to see it with my best friend (@eeayelle) who is as crazy as me when it comes to Harry! I copy and pasted my tweets that I tweeted before and after the movie.

"Yo its 14 minutes until Harry Potter. I'm about to pee my pants I'm so excited.

11:47 PM Jul 14th from txt"

"They're dimming the lights. I don't even think I'm gonna be this excited on my wedding day.

12:06 AM Jul 15th from txt"

"I openly will admit I am Harry Potters bitch.

12:13 AM Jul 15th from txt"

"#truth I'm not really attracted to white guys, but Harry Potter makes my heart jump everytime

1:09 AM Jul 15th from txt"

"Just got outta the Harry Potter movie. It got me ballin like a baby.

2:49 AM Jul 15th from txt"

I couldn't sit still before the movie started, so I decided to go talk to some people. I soon found out that Ron is actually African American, not white:

JukeBoxx Photoshoot!

JUKEBOXX.. is the truth yo!

Last week I had a photoshoot with the group Jukeboxx, formerly known as American Band Boys. These kids are the truth. I do a lot of underground photoshoots and unfortunatley not all groups leave me with a lasting impression. These guys left me with lasting memories! Don't sleep on these talented youngesters people!!

With their new Surf or Die song, it's bound to hit Top 100. Currently working with F.L.Y (Swag Surf) these guys are working their way to the top. I had the honor of doing a photoshoot with them.

Evaluate

Look. I'm about done with myself.

So today I missed a meeting. Just completly slept through my alarm. What is my deal? This is not a Sarah Zuppo move. At all. I even told myself before I fell asleep that I need to wake myself up by 8am. That usually works. WTF. You know, mistakes are allowed, it's just I expect so much more of myself, I think more than other people do. It's to my belief that everyone should do that of themselves, therefore you'll never dissapoint anyone.

I think the reason I'm taking this so hard is because I really LIKE my job. Not many people can say that, that they genuinely like their job. With that being said...I need to step my game up. I need to get back on the positivity train and focus my thoughts. I haven't been doing this lately, which is why I believe I haven't been at 100%.

Sometimes it takes a failure to put you back on track.

There IS a Such Thing As Eye Fucking.

I was with my best friend, Erin (Twitter her!! She's amazing to follow @eeayelle) at Fox Sports Grill right before Tru Skool and I had a problem with how this server looked at me when he passed our table. So I decided to stop... and chat.

CHECK IT OUT!!

Just a little chuckle :)

Subtle Reminder

I just got home from working 14 hours and 25 minutes at Taco Mac.

I was what the restaurant industry calls a double late, meaning I come in at 9:50am and don't leave until the earliest midnight.

This is how the "late" shift goes:

There's normally only 4 lates manning the entire restaurant after the volume shifts get cut (cut is lingo for "get to go home"). We have duties that we usually tackle and try to get done as quickly as possible. Mine was to sweep the entire dining room, which is a lot easier said than done. I literally broke a sweat and it took me over 45 minutes. When I asked from help from a couple of the other lates they told me they had already done their work and they were out.. except I think I guilt tripped one into helping me sweep for 5 minutes. I didn't think the job could get any harder.

The only reason I'm working so much and such long hours is to save up money for my Uncle's lexus. And all I could help but think to myself was damn, "is this really worth it?" I left the resturant at 12:05am and was on my way to the bank to deposit the money. (I can't keep cash on me or I'll spend it) I kept on reminding myself of the tedious jobs I was having to complete to get this damn car.... and it was agonizing. Then this car pulls up next to me, the only other car on the street with me. I glance at it for a sec and sure enough it was the model of the lexus my Uncle owns, just in a different color. Isn't it funny how a little light sets you back on track to success? God works in funny ways, even if it's only to inspire someone to continue on with their dreams.

Ehhh. I Gotta Vent YO!

Happy Fourth of July!

Alright, that's about the maximum amount of positivity you're going to get from me during this post. Sorry.

Every once in awhile I get in these, "I want a boyfriend" moods. They last for about a week and they SUCK. Generally speaking, I'm not a fan of boyfriends, or at least 11 1/2 months out of the year I'm not. But occasionally (usually around holidays) I get this empty feeling, which is CRAZY, because I have an enormous support group of family and friends. I couldn't be anymore thankful for them. So what's my problem? I acknowledge that it's normal for a person to feel a want for the opposite sex in terms of a lasting relationship, but it's not like I'm attention deprived. I talk to guys. So what's my deal? I'm not liking this mood I'm in. This is going to have to change asap. I might just let this whole, "I want a boyfriend" mood ride out, so I wont suppress and it comes back to bite me in the ass.

Next negative post:

I have really fond memories of my sister (who's a year older than me) and I on the 4th from previous years. I remember we always use to go to the Chattahoochee River at night and talk. Well, these past couple years have been a little different for us, because we've both kinda went our separate ways. Even though we've gone our separate ways, I sometimes feel like I'm missing my best friend. We were best friends before sisters......
Anyways, I sent her a text asking if she wanted to go the river whenever we each got back to the house later on that night, she said, "Doubt it, I'm not even sure when I'm getting home." I took offense to this because it was something that was sentimental to me. I don't think she realized this, which is okay... I mean it's not written on my forehead and she can't read minds. Sooo... I decided to Tweet about it (she doesn't have a twitter).
I said, "Sometimes I wish I could bitch at my sister, but then I remember she's a pregnant and I let it go." (oh yeah!! btw she's 7 months pregnant)

So I sent it to twitter and I felt a little better... until I got a text from my sister say, "Why the hell did I do?" Yup, you guessed it, I sent it to her.. instead of twitter. What a fuckin dumbass move.

So I sent a text back, "Sorry that wasn't for you. : / I have a lot of fond memories of us on the 4th and I wanted to continue them. But I understand you'll probably be too tired or it'll be too late. I just need to vent sometimes, ya know?"

And.... I never got a text back from her.

Shit.

Odd Combo

Sooo, I was leaving Apache after Tru Skool on Tuesday and this homeless person approaches me. I really dont think anything of it, I'm use to it by now. But this guy was younger, maybe like 17-18. He came up to me saying, "ma'am do you work inside there?" (referencing Apache) And I told him no.. then he asked me if I could go back in and buy him a soda and some chips because he hasnt eaten in 3 days.
Now normally I tell homless people I dont have cash.. or not this time... but this guy got to me. I told him might have some quaters in the car if he wanted it. I've never seen someone so happy. He told me that the lady who owns the Chicken Wing resturant around the corner told him that if he could come up with $3 then she would give him the $10 meal. I only had $2.75, but at least it was something. As he thanked me, he then asked if I wanted whatever was left in my Chickfila cup. I was thinking to myself hot damn this kid is really hungry. So of course I gave it to him.

Sometimes I really dont know how to feel about those situations. This kid obviously was bright and had a way of talking to people. If only he was in school, maybe even soon he would be off to college making his future looking blindingly bright. I really wish I could have helped him more. If I see him again I'm going to take him to get something to eat.
